Safety and
Night Riding Preparation
Helmet and Lights
- All participants must wear a proper helmet.
-
- One front light and two rear lights
- Participants must have one front light and two rear lights turned on at all times, especially during night riding. All lights must be fully functional and pass inspection before departure.
Reflective Vest and Ankle Bands
- All participants must wear a reflective vest. The reflective material must be visible from 360 degrees and be strong enough to meet safety standards. You may enhance an existing vest with additional reflective materials as long as they are permanently attached, such as by sewing.
- Participants must wear reflective ankle bands on both ankles.
Condition Management
- Participating in a brevet is physically and mentally demanding. Maintain your best condition before the event and stretch adequately before starting. If you feel unwell before the start, notify a staff member. If you feel physically unstable during the ride, stop immediately and take a rest or take any other appropriate measures. Please note that due to the long distances and duration of the event, ambulances or pickup services for those dropping out are not provided.
Waiver Agreement and Insurance
- Before the start, participants must sign a waiver acknowledging their own responsibility.
- Korea Randonneurs cannot be held responsible in any way for any kind of accident, injury, disability, personal injury, property damage, or theft. Therefore, we strongly recommend that participants purchase appropriate insurance coverage on their own.
